Sweets and treats like gum and chocolate can also have harmful effects on your dogs and cats as well. Feeding table scraps can not only cause your pet to adjust their taste bud and begin to refuse their own food, but can also cause an upset in their fat and oil digestion, which can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, and sometimes even severe internal problems like pancreatitis.
